Arthur Liss

Founder Arthur Liss has built his legal career over decades of work that is centered first and foremost upon helping people. Liss is founder of Liss & Andrews, a team of No-Fault attorneys specializing in securing all rights and benefits for catastrophically injured auto accident victims and their families through highly effective, creative and tenacious legal representation.

For Liss, the passion to help the severely injured was inspired by a personal experience with a family member who became quadriplegic, which forced his family to provide intensive round-the-clock care. He saw how life can change in an instant and how one accident has a powerful ripple effect throughout an entire family. That deeply personal experience and understanding of catastrophic injury has played a role in shaping Liss’ career trying cases, building his team and in leading his firm with compassion and empathy.

Liss believes in taking on challenging, difficult-to-win cases that can involve years of complex litigation against well-financed insurance companies and their armies of attorneys—and understands that when the stakes are this high, every case needs to be successful. In a career that has spanned nearly 50 years, Liss has meant the difference for victims between having a life at home with their family and being forced to live a life in an institution.

A 1972 graduate of Wayne State University Law School, Liss specializes in the area of No-Fault insurance litigation and is a prominent plaintiff’s attorney in this specialty in the state of Michigan. Liss is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Michigan Association for Justice, and the Oakland County Bar Association and has served as the chair of the Oakland County Circuit Court Committee. He has served as a court appointed case evaluator for both the Oakland County and Wayne County Circuit Courts. He has been admitted to practice in all Michigan and Federal courts including the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Liss has been rated as preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell and has also been recognized in the “Best Lawyers in America.” Mr. Liss is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

Mr. Liss has been actively involved in various nonprofit medical and charitable organizations as a volunteer board member or officer. His community involvement has spanned the last 40 years.
