Partner Karen Seder is a fierce multitasker, expert problem solver and insightful attorney who brings balance and direction to everything Liss, Seder & Andrews handles, from case strategy to business operations.
Arriving while still a law student in 1991, Seder has built her entire career at Liss, Seder & Andrews. She honed her practice to focus on personal injury victims with catastrophic injuries and their families and became a partner in 2007. Seder brings a keen intellect and remarkable practicality to her work and is considered the firm’s unofficial sounding board for her far-seeing ability to understand how seemingly unrelated case details and issues impact each other. Today, Seder is focused on developing case strategies to provide expert insight, legal direction and a hardline sense of fairness.
She goes beyond a strict attorney-client relationship and brings a unique level of warmth and empathy to her work with victims and their families—helping to stabilize families in innumerable ways and often outside of a traditional scope of work. Seder is a tireless advocate who will consult with medical professionals to ensure each and every client has access to the best resources and approach to their care. For example, if she sees a client who is starting to isolate themselves because of a brain injury, Seder will work with the family, care providers, and professionals to ensure all resources for solutions are obtained.
Seder is a 1992 graduate of Wayne State University Law School and has distinguished herself as one of the foremost strategists of No-Fault automobile litigation. Seder is admitted to practice in the Federal Eastern District of Michigan and before the Michigan Supreme Court. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Oakland County Bar Association, the Women’s Bar Association, the Michigan Association for Justice, the Brain Injury Association of Michigan and Inforum.
